The Pituitary Gland is known as the master gland. It balances all hormone excretions in the body and creates a nice homeostasis within us - in the physical body, in the emotions and in the mind. The Pituitary Gland also relates to the sixth chakra, Ajna Chakra, located at the third eye point between the eyebrows. Throughout the postures in this class you will focus on this point at the third eye to create harmony and balance in the pituitary gland. Finish with a meditation using a mudra combined with a pranayama to create balance in the Tattvas, the five elements that make up all physical matter (earth, eater, fire, air, ether).
